Dr. Yolando Sulit Honorary Lecture – Physical Examination and Auscultation: A Forgotten Art

On September 20, 2023, colleagues from various fields gathered to commemorate the inaugural Dr. Yolando QM Sulit Honorary Lecture. Held at the Main Hall, Gloria Maris Shark’s Fin Restaurant, the event aimed to celebrate excellence in cardiovascular training and practice, paying tribute to the renowned cardiovascular mentor and quintessential physician, Dr. Yolando QM Sulit.

It was truly a night we wont soon forget.

The mood was set with the jolly banter and quips of our seasoned hosts, Dr. Mike Dela Cruz and Dr. Regidor Encabo.

Welcoming remarks were given by Dr. Zenaida Javier-Uy and introduction of the keynote speaker by Dr. Lourdes Ella Santos.

The keynote lecture was commenced by Dr. Rody G. Sy entitled: Physical Examination and Auscultation: A Forgotten Art.

After the lecture, 3 exceptional consultants, Dr. Nic Cruz, Dr. Erwin Dizon, and Dr. Perfecto Palafox, 3 of the best in their fields, and 3 of the many protégés of Dr Yolando Sulit, shared their most fond memories and life lessons from Dr. Y. It was truly a testament of the heartfelt appreciation of the person that Dr. Y was to the cardiovascular world.

Dr. Dennis Sulit then gave a few words of gratitude on behalf of the Sulit family.

Closing remarks were then given by our CVI chairman Dr. Ariel Miranda.

The night was capped off by the Oath taking of the officers and members of the CVI Alumni Association.

It was an indeed a night we won’t forget.
